CACAO BANANA BOMB SMOOTHIES
So you’ve entered the wonderful world of a plant based lifestyle and you’re feeling great at first. A few weeks in you may start to feel tired. I would have to bet this comes from not getting enough protein into your diet. I struggled with this for about a year when I first transitioned to a plant based diet and I still have to constantly remind myself to build every snack and every meal around protein intake. I’ll be touching base more on nutrition in a later blog post all about how much protein you need daily but for now, heres an amazing recipe to get you some of that good stuff!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
1 1/4 CUP UNSWEETENED ALMOND MILK
1/2 RIPE BANANA
1 1/2 SCOOP AMPD PRO CACAO
1 TBSP ORGANIC PEANUT BUTTER
1 CUP OF ICE
BLENDER
THIS RECIPE IS SUPER SIMPLE AND IDEAL FOR POST WORKOUT! I FIND IT EASIEST TO ADD THE ALMOND MILK AND ICE FIRST, THEN ADD THE REST OF THE INGREDIENTS ON TOP. BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH!
